I call it "Grub"

Picked up a small amp 2 weeks ago and got a chance to record with it. I basically flipped it on and this is the sound that came out of it. Cant wait to tweak some knobs and really give it a try. I need to put some lyrics to this. Maybe "Cookie Monster" vocals? There is some timing issue with the drums in spots that I will fix when I get the lyrics done and finish it up. The lead at the end sucks too. But it was a quicky to try the little amp out. If anyone wants to attempt writing lyrics and singing to it, be my guest.

I was wondering if someone would ask. Its a Peavey Vypyr 70 Alot of people have had boot up issues with the earlier versions. Mine seems to be fine. Its a modeling amp and has to boot up. Go figure

Ya, I had read they had issues on and off with the processor in it. Plug it in via USB and make sure all the firmware and such is up to date and you should be good.

I got the thing so I would have a smaller amp with wicked distortion to practise at lower volumes. Im bought some guitar instructional videos and plan on trying to improve my playing. :)

Ya, I need to have a local guy here build a power soak for that little Valve Jr. Ray has been using it for practice and he likes the crunch on it, but its kinda loud by the time he gets the crunch he wants. But it is nice to have a little amp like that for sure.

Ive got a EpiJr also and it does a great job plugged into a 412 cab. I had thaught about hot-rodding it. You know anything about it ? Is it hard to build a power soak ? Id like one to use on my JSX. Or recommend a retail unit.

Yep, mine is modded and I love it. Although it has an extra mod we can't seem to find anything on the web about. I'm going to be bringing it into a local amp guru in the next few weeks to have him upgrade the mods a bit and find out exactly what the other one does.

But ya, it cranks with the BitMo mods on it. The Fat Boost is killer once it gets a bit driven. I have the head and cab set up though. The cab is the single 12" Eminence and it really gets loud.
