sidechain compression - ducking in Acid Music Studio

i need help setting up sidechain compression in acid music studio. i want to produce the "ducking" effect when my kick drum hits, to compress the bass track. i'm working with audio tracks, not midi. ... . . i understand the concept of ducking, and i have a couple vst's that will do it for me, but I don't know how to "route" my kick drum into the plugin so that it will trigger when the kick hits. i do everything in acid and would hate to have to switch to another program to produce this effect. if i had to i could set up a midi track in acid and fill in my kick drum. can anyone help me?????
