here is the song
www.homerecordingconnecti...ype=2&src=1
i have a crappy grunge pedal and a crap computer.i do not even have a bass.
but that does not stop me from morphing a clean guitar into one.that's right.i recorded the bass part with the clean channel with my ibanez SA120 and used the wave hammer plugin of sound forge.just tell me how ugly it sounds.

Feb 13, 2009 06:41 am thanks a lot!you made it easier.a lot easier!
Feb 13, 2009 06:59 am It is kinda hard to put into context without a rhythm section behind it.
that picture just disgusts me tho...jeezuz.
Feb 13, 2009 09:18 am Tinstryde, I know I'm being picky - again - and again - about this, but you really have to start posting in the right forum and learning what "mastering" is -
This isn't.

Feb 13, 2009 10:31 am I like where you're going, though it is tough to stay on top of it without any other tracks.
Just the git sounds are kinda sparse by themselves.
Keep it up though, it sounds like it's going in a good direction.
Yeah, this would be tracking / mixing, not mastering.

Feb 13, 2009 01:31 pm Yep, I'm with pjk. The pieces are there for a good start. Aside from the lo-fi sound do to the limited gear used you are getting some things done. I suggest having a look around for one of the few free VSTi's out there for drums and you can find bass as well.
Have a look at www.kvraudio.com
They have a great search engine that will narrow it down to exactly what you want.
The song itself could end up being interesting once its all put together.

Feb 13, 2009 07:17 pm A cool riff for sure, offbeats are fun to work with. Looking forward to the day of a full mix to see what you got up them sleeves.
But yeah, this would be tracking\mixing.

Feb 13, 2009 10:56 pm is there any plugin which i can buy which gives more dimension and depth to the distortion i am using?
Feb 13, 2009 11:52 pm If the sound you're using isn't 94.75% just what you want, you're using the wrong sound.
Work on the core. There is no substitute.
