Does any boddy know any solution to make an MBOX 2 audio interface to work on Vista?...as I heard there're no drivers available for this device yet...I need to have at least an Idea when will this be possible; I tried to contact the customer service but it's being kind of difficult for me to reach them, so any help in any way will be valuable and appreciated for me. THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE

You'll find some info here.

www.digidesign.com/index....=51&eid=173

Its Digidesign's pages. There are drivers for Vista 32 bit. It appears they are for Ultimate and Business?? Not sure what that's about. But I had no trouble getting right to it with a Google search.

And funny thing I found as well on google. The exact same question, using the exact same words, in the exact same order with the exact same ending in caps. It was from Nov. of 2007.

OK just so you know if did not say this be4 sorry. both PT and Reason 4.0 run fine with my Mbox2 i can get sound during playback!!! the problem is running the Windows Media Player and getting sound to play back from that.
4 Example: If i put in an Audio CD into my CD drive Windows Media Player pops up, but when i try and play a track i get this error message "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."

so i can use my MBOX as my primary sound card?

Yes you can. You simply need to go into windows audio settings and make it your default sound device.

It sounds as if it is not set up that way by what you are saying. But a driver update will help as well.

Then you will need to go into Windows control panel/devices and check to see if there is a conflict with the device. Vista has some quirk's about what it will and won't let work and how it does it.

Do you have the drivers I posted the link to installed? You really need to have the current ones installed.

And if you are not running either of the Vista version's they show you may be out of luck on getting it to work with Media Player.
