Whenever i get finished recording my track (on cubase le4,if that matters) and then i convert the file to an mp3,the track is shortened. Is this due to the file converter i have,or am i doing something else wrong? Please help : X

"Cut short" like the reverb trail is snipped? "Cut short" like every tune you export is the same length?

Not familiar with Cle4, but I would imagine that it uses I/O points for rendering (as its bigger brothers do).

'Cut short' as in when i'm finished recording the track, let's says its 3:58 long, and i export it to the desktop, and convert it to an mp3,when i listen to it its only maybe 2 minutes or so of the original track.as you can imagine its pretty frustrating haha.anything?

In Cubase (all versions that I know of), the only part of your project that will be exported during mixdown is what is between the left and right locator. So you're going to have to move your right locator to the end of your song.

Look for these locators right above the ruler bar. Click and drag them to relocate them.

Or possibly he is using a demo converter program. I know a few of them run the demo so it will only convert the first couple minutes of a song. That could be the issue as well.

I think noize might be right.Im almost positive i have the locators positioned correctly (they're the little white arrows right?) so i guess in that case, where could i find a converter thats not a demo?or is there any other way to convert it to an mp3?

Windows Media Player converts wav to mp3 I do believe. At least it used to.

I was wrong on WMP as it will only do it when ripping from CD.

You can try WinAmp or simply hit KVR www.kvraudio.com and see what they have there. I'm pretty sure they have several in the free version.
