Cubase LE multitrack audio recording help

So I'm having a problem getting Cubase LE to let me send in more than 2 tracks of audio at a time.

I'm using a Tascam FW-1082 connected to my computer via firewire. I want to be able to record more than two tracks at a time, but it won't let me (or I can't figure out how).

When choosing the Input Routing on a track, the only Ins listed in the popdown window are In 1 and In 2.

So what's the deal? Is this because Cubase LE is a more limited version of Cubase? Or am I just missing something?

Nevermind, I think I just figured it out.

But any tips anyone might have for a newbie are totally wanted.

I've recorded in professional studios several times, but this is the first time I've had to deal with any of the technical side of recording myself.

It's sort of like knowing how to speak English, but not read it...I'm kind of just having to sound everything out.

Correct to Deon.

Wow, what a non-user-friendly program. I've been able to figure it out pretty quickly I think though.

Though, I now have another problem.

I'm trying to export a song and a message keeps popping up saying there was an error in exporting. It says no more than that though, so I can't figure out what the problem is.

It's around 12 tracks of audio at 24bit and 96khz, but even when I try to export it at a lower quality it still pops up with an error.

Any ideas?

Ok, so apparently I'm not patient enough.

I figured it out the problem. The workspace selector arrows (or whatever they are called) at the top were reversed, so when I tried to export it was like "bwaaa?"

So it worked.

yeah those L/H locaters still get me from time to time.

sometimes too, if you've got something routed wrong or you have too many insert effects it cracks a sad.

learning to use fx channels and group channels will help heaps with that.
