Hello,

I started reading some of the Tips Articles on mixing and I keep seeing the term Rolloff. Can someone explain to me what this means....?

For example one article said to Rolloff anything below 40hz.

???

Thanks for your help.

Any other tips you can give me regarding mixing I would appreciate. I am running Sonar 6 PE with a M-audio Projectmix.

"Rolling off" is just reducing below a specific point.

Rolling off below 40Hz is - uh... "Rolling off" frequencies below 40Hz.

But don't *read* something like that and do it - Do it because your ears tell you to do it.

Have you watched any of the tutorials on the Cakewalk website? There are a ton of them geared to exactly what you are looking for.

If you combine those with what you can read here it will help you a great deal. Then if you get stuck simply ask on the specific piece you are stuck on.
