Problem, either between Behringer Mixer or Audiophile Soundcard

Hey,
Used to have a studio up and running and now after a few months I brought the mixer back down and hooked it up to the computer but now when I record there is a extremely small amount of sound getting through.

I'm using a Behringer 1204FX mixer, an Audiophile 2496 Sound Card and Sonar 7.

Now Sonar shouldn't be the problem as when I record in Windows Sound Recorder the same level is coming through (incredibly low), I think I've tried every place I could on the settings to make sure nothing was turned down but any help suggestions appreciated.

I don't know what I can do next, maybe different drivers for Sound card? I'm using Vista.

I was also thinking maybe the red/white connections going from Mixer to Sound Card are dodgy, although I thought if this was the case then maybe it would be a crackling sound and not just extremely low levels.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, first thing I would do is head over the M-Audio site and make certain you have the latest drivers for the card.

Then you should have the Delta control panel installed and open that to check and make sure the channels are a: not muted and b: turned far enough, almost all the way up.

Also, a cable check is advised as sometimes they simply can do that. Although it is not normally going to be both channels of a cable at once.

Have you adjusted the trim level on the inputs of the mixer? The Delta is expecting a hotter signal than -10dBv (standard line level).
