I am new to recording. I have a Lexicon Omega usb Going into my MacBook Using garageband-Which i realize isn't that great of a program to record to but i think i'm getting logic for my b-day- so any way I have no problem with garageband, no matter what they say at guitar center, But when i record/send to itunes, ALL THE MUSIC COMES OUT OF THE LEFT EAR PHONE ONLY. Now at GC they told me that "you have it set on mono not stereo" which i think is incorrect. The stereo/mono buttons on the system are all set to stereo, and the audio driver is the lexicon mac-1/2 stereo, i also tried 3/4 stereo....please help me cuz i have sat here trying things for days and getting no where....I'M A DRUMMER NOT A MUSIC ENGINEER!-Thanks all, Great Site

Describe your setup from the interface-computer to the speakers you are using... How is it all connected?

Well right now I just have a good set of studio headphones cuz I'm just starting. I mostly focus my money on the drumming part so I don't have monitors/speakers...yet. 1) should I look in to getting monitors 2)The Hphones just are just plugged into the lexicon output patch on the bottom right of the interface

Also I put up my first recording on our myspace, not counting the covers i recorded with JUST my laptop,(you'll know what ones lol) So if some one could listen and give me some pointers, besides the fact that 1)it's quiet 2) it's all mono , and 3) the loops are a tiny bit off, that would be great.

Thanks again

Ah, the headphones need to be plugged into the headphone output. Otherwise you will only get one side from the line output. but it looks as though you do have them plugged into the right jack.

So this would go to either the input or output cables between the Omega and the Mac.

I guess were to were Cynic left off. Needing a bit of a description to go any further.

Also, are you using ASIO drivers or the generic Mac audio drivers?

hey man i think you need to use the asio driver for that setup eh.

i used to have one of these machines, i cant remember, did it come with an installation CD? if so you will find
it on there, but if you got it without software then youll neeed to download asio online somewhere. im fairly sure thats what you need. i could be wrong.

once youve got that it will show up in the window you showed. also you wanna record in mono, not stereo. the stereo 1/2 is one two, not half.

im not sure of the difference between the drivers, i think asio is generic. im not a full bottle on it but i used to use the asio when i had this machine.

dont worry man its a bit of a s**t fight at first, but you'll get it sorted. then you gotta learn the program and stuff, but if you stick at it you'll be glad.

im sure "Noize" will clarify alot soon for ya.

I installed an asio file for mac osx. now when i plug in the lexicon i get prompted to switch to Lexicon Omega (Demo) and my only other option is built in audio. I tried the demo and still couldn't figure it out but i got a great high pitched beeping noise every minute b/ of the demo i assume so....

1)where can I find the full asio driver download
2)How do I uninstall this D@mn Demo*********

also could you elaborate on the stereo 1/2 is one two not one half-i think i know what you want me to do but i would like to know what this means so I will actually know what I'm doing when I doit lol

thanks
