I' ve just got Cubase LE4 with an inspire1394, but it's my first venture into music recording. Can anyone give me a very basic explaination on where I start when it comes to useing the effects that come with it. I am lookin at experimenting with the guitar effects, can anyone help with that cos I'm lost!

I'm not exactly certain as I don't use Cubase, but I do believe there should be an FX menu that can be accessed by right clicking on the track or the track FX bin. Then simply choose the effect you want and your on your way.

i dont know that there are many guitar effects as such, but all effects are accessable thru your specific track window.
look for the "e" button in the track window.
pretty hard to miss.
so im assuming you wanna try some stuff like chorus, flanger reverb etc.
when you click the e button you'll get the eq window come up. at this stage just use what's known as an insert effect.
look in the left hand corner of the eq window up top, and you should see a little square at the top of the effect racks. click on that and it should show you all the effects. just make a choice and youre away.

in the future though, learn how to use fx channels and route the effects, your computer will run heaps better. insert effects use heaps of resources.
