Hey there- I recently had some issues with my 1820m, most of which were resolved by help from their support staff. I am still having some problems when trying to record audio through the Mic A and Mic B inputs. When the sound is coming in, it is very choppy... there are pops and clicks non-stop. Everything was working fine before the major problems I had before... but now this is really concerning me. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks in advance ;)

Dec 15, 2008 10:14 pm What are the specs of your PC? CPU speed, amount of RAM and the like.
This will help try and figure this out.
It sounds like you are having a buffer issue. The PC is having problems coping with the low setting you probably have by default on the 1820.
Dec 16, 2008 01:27 am Hey! I am running an Intel Dual core 2, 6300 @ 1.86gHz - I have 1 gb of ram. . .
I tried adjusting the ASIO buffer speed but with no results... If there's anything else you need to know let me know!

Dec 16, 2008 08:52 pm Well, the PC should be fast enough by the looks of it.
Are there any things running in the background like Anti-virus software or an active firewall. Or any other programs running down in the quick start on the right? It sounds like something is using system resources that the interface needs.
If you have an on board sound card you should disable the drivers for that while using the E-Mu. That can cause conflicts which can bring on that type of noise.
