I've been using Cool Edit Pro for about a year now and recently i've just reformatted my computer due to techinical difficulties.

Now when i try to record a verse on CEP. I would add dynamic processing then normalize. then when i go to multitrack view and listen to my verse over the beat, it seems as if my verse was sped up. It was on beat for the first couple seconds then it just went off beat. Now i've been having this problem for a while. I've tried to reinstall but it doesnt work. can anyone help me out?

I don't know, when i first started recording. My friend told me to do it in that order so i followed it. I never really took the time to mess with cool edit though so i don't really know what i should be using for good quality sound.

I used Cool Edit for a few years before my last PC died. My version just kind of went a bit crazy after a while and I couldn't re-install or do anything with it. (although it is usful for converting WAVs to MP3s, which I cant get REAPER to do)
I downloaded REAPER and am very happy, finding it more intuitive and just better really than CEP
