Nov 24, 2008 09:34 pm The scrub tool is simply a curser selection that allows you to drag it over the audio track to listen to just a small section of the audio. It can also be done with a jog wheel if you have a controller that is scrub enabled.
A parametric EQ is a more accurate type of EQ that allows you to be much more selective on where and how much of a certain frequency you correct.
You can use a wide band or Q as it is referred to or narrow it down to a very small portion of the frequency you wish to adjust. It is much more accurate then a normal graphic EQ.
Here is an article on using a parametric effectively in a mix. It will give you a good idea of what it can do.

Nov 24, 2008 10:07 pm Thanks. The users manuel of my Fostex recorder assumes I know all of this. Make it kind of difficult to understand what they are trying to tell me.

Nov 24, 2008 10:14 pm OK, on the Tascam digital recorder the scrub point will be were you set the curser to move the jog wheel when you want to scrub as I stated above. It should be basically a flashing line or icon of some sort. Maybe an arrow that will show in the track view.
