I just updated to version 8.2 but i still get no sound. I get a weak input signal when i record and have to almost max the level on my profire2626.
I also cannot get any sound from any of my v.i's. I set everything according to various tech support but i cannot get any sound. At one point i could get sound from absynth and gr3 but now they dont work.

Nov 24, 2008 08:23 pm Are you running the Kore 2 set up at the same time as the 2626?
That might be an issue right there.
Did you ever get the problem solved when you were running still on 6 or 7?
Exactly what are you recording that you are getting a weak signal?

Nov 25, 2008 07:35 pm Try shutting down the Kore 2 and see what happens. I think you may be getting a conflict from both devices running at once.

Nov 27, 2008 06:32 pm Still no luck. I contacted cakewalk and m-audio to see if they can find the problem but that could take forever.Im sure m-audio will tell me i have to buy some sort of add on. :(

Nov 27, 2008 10:10 pm Have you tried using the inputs on the Kore 2 by chance to see if that might make the difference?
I am betting odds are that if it does not work then there is a problem in the way you are setting up Sonar's audio input preferences or in the track input set up as well.
If it does work, then you have a bunk 2626. Or simply a bad firewire cable.
That is another issue. Are you running it with a power supply to it or trying to power it off the firewire? If powering it off the firewire are you using a 6 pin cable and are you sure you have a 6 pin connection on the computer you are using?

Nov 28, 2008 01:39 pm Im not running it bus powered, i didnt think it was, just run it with the power supply. Ive tried a different firewire cable, and i tried it in 2 seperate firewire ports, both on the pc and both on the 2626.
The interface works fine stand alone so i dont think its bunk and i did get sound from it on one occassion. I think the most likely problem is the set up in sonar but ive followed countless set up procedures from sweetwater and im still waiting for cakewalk and m-audio reply's....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, i just want to make music, so f@#king frustrating,,,,,,welcome to the world of pc DAWS!

Dec 01, 2008 06:25 pm Ya, its got to be something none of us are thinking of. I've used Sonar with several different FW devices and never had a lick of trouble.
