So, I'm sitting here right now, watching the eledged debates. And all I am hearing is extended versions of each of their commercials.

WTF! ANSWER THE STUPID QUESTIONS INSTEAD!!!!!

Oh, but my opponent said this. Oh yeah! Well back then in your record, you said this. Well my opponent has forgotten about this.

Knock it off and just answer what the people have asked you!

OK, it got better towards the end. But, still. Both of their answers are driving me nuts!

Now you know exactly why I don't watch TV. I absolutely hate it.

Cept' for the edumacational and racin' channels.

But ya, I'm so sick of the local and national political crap I could spit.

the problem with both debates so far is that there's no way to just simply take a fact off the table once the truth is on record. instead both keep repeating charges that have another side to the story. it happens in all debates of course, but it seems to be happening QUITE a lot in these ones, and the effect is a feeling of no ground being covered at all. as long as people can say whatever they want to (and sometimes don't even get a chance to respond) it sucks as far as information content goes.

I completely forgot about the debate but -

It's like both campaigns are completely oblivious as to how angry people are...

I'm not voting for either of them any more.

Yeah, I stopped watching...it drove me nuts. Each one would get asked a question and then they'd go on talking about whatever they wanted, whether related to the question or not.

Obama gave better answers relating it to us joe six-pack, explaining the issue better, but I do believe McCain had better, more realistic actual answers. It cracks me up either can actually pretend to know what it's like to make an average salary and live an average life any more...

With Obama I just don't see how he plans on doing what he is without a MAJOR tax hike...McCain, I just don't see how he is gonna do what he's gonna do because they are all politicians looking out for themselves...not us.

"By the people, for the people" is a joke.

Raising taxes is never necessary for expenditures. The Uncle Sam School of Economics has been clear on that :-p

Just print all the damn money you need! It's the American Way!

Oh, and send me another "economic stimulus" check too.

hahaha, well, I know when money gets tight at my house, we simply cut out the least important stuff...gov't never seems to quite get that...what we need is somebody to call out stupid expenditures..."earmarks" and such crap...bills should be about a single topic and not have silly little pet project **** thrown in them to buy other legislates votes and all that.

I can keep my budget balanced just fine...

Me for president!

yeah i cut if off after an hour aswell....i'm kinda disappointed in the lack of passion on either side...i felt like both sides (and vp's for that matter) are treading too lightly....we don't wanna make anyone feel.....uuuncomfortable.

i wanna see them get angry!

I just don't wanna see them get angry at each other...I am tired of the he voted for this, he voted for that crap...I can look that up, I wanna here about problems and solutions...SPECIFIC solutions and plans not nebulous "we can fix this together" rants.

Yeah, and if you noticed. When Tom asked each one of them just for a simple yes or no answer, they both broke out into a song and dance number.

If they can't even give a straight or coherent answer on that.

And these are our soon to be leaders. Great, just great.

I hold out in the belief that at the very least McCain knows what bad times are like, in a way even we don't...Obama, not so sure he's ever really had bad times...

I think that it's profound that you guys actually get to witness this sort of political action. We have a federal election going on up here in Canada and you would hardly know it unless you picked up a newspaper.

Up here we have four national parties and each one just says "I may suck, but not as bad as those guys".

Oh... hurray.... lucky me.

Guess who is coming to town, and I have to do the audio for.

Barack is doing four speaking engagements on Saturday. And I am the only person without a gig for then... Well, until now that is.

15,000 people all yelling how wonderful he is. Even though he and "The other one" have nothing substantial to say.

So... You say that there is a major election in Canada without all the fan fair going ay. Want to trade places until this one is over?
