Does anyone know a good freeware converter so i can export my audio in WAV. files and switch them to MP3s? Cubase LE4 won't let me export it in mp3, kind of a bummer, but what should i expect with a free software. haha

You could always use iTunes to convert them, but if you're looking for a purpose built program, you could try something like 'Wave to MP3 Encoder 2.5' - you can download it here-> www.download.com/WAV-to-M...4-10060500.html

They will both make mp3's. I would say a free one that does not install a boatload of extra software would be the better result :)

I think they're both about even. Short of buying Wavelab or a comparable mastering program to that effect, using an audio program or a free bare bones program will give you the desired result- MP3 format.

If you're trying to convert to specific bit rates and/or conversion formats (LAME for example), I'm sure there are freeware programs for this, but they elude me at the moment.
