Hello.
I saw there were a few other posts about problems with the uca200 but none of which answered my problem. also i thought i could be most specific this way.

i bought the Behringer XENYX 1832fx the other day and it came with the U-Control UCA200.

i routed it from the cd/tape input/output to the uca input/output (like i read on the internet).

I plugged my guitar into the line in spot of track 1 on the 1832fx. i then plugged the uca into my usb port on my windows xp laptop and it seemed to recognize my interface by calling it USB Audio CODEC in the volume control.

when i opened up my cakewalk pro audio 9, i did all the neccessary steps in order to make sure it recorded. tho, i pressed record and had absolutely no signal. in addition to that, i could only get a signal on my 1832fx if i solo'd track 1.

also, when the uca is plugged into the usb port, it cuts my sound of my laptop. i have a SigmaTel Audio card that came with the laptop.

also also, i noticed that in the volume control, when i clicked properties, i had the choice between playback and recording. when i clicked on recording, the open box right below it was empty, where as when my SigmaTel card was selected, i could choose between Line-in and Microphone. not sure if that means anything, but im thinking it isnt good haha.

sorry, lengthy i know. i could really use some help tho. i figured id try here first before customer support or something.
thank you to anyone who reads this and trys to help haha

marley

IN Cakewalk you looked in the Optionis/Audio section and highlighted the USB Audio Codec driver?

Also if you did that for both recording and playback in Cakewalk, then you need to make sure and select that device in the actual track input and output port box.
