I know this is elementary, but make sure you are using a pop filter. Also, the best way I've learned to tame things like that is just EQ. It takes some time to learn but really works.

Yep, the only way a mic will change the sibilance is if it has a high cut, and then it is only minimal. Using a pop filter is the best way other then a de esser to tame the sibilance picked up by any mic's.

I know some folk's who actually use a pair of pop filters to do this when it is a really bad.

Try singing above or below the mic a tad instead of straight into it. I have my mic facing up (plug on bottom) and put the top of it about chin level. Worked for me when I am singing close.

The best place to control sibilance is at the vocalist's mouth.

Mics? SM7b. One of the greatest at any price, warm, takes a beating, doesn't enhance problematic issues (such as sibilance and plosives). Amazingly flexible and budget-friendly as a bonus.
