Novice trying to understand the BOUNCE function of the Zoom H4, any help?

So I have the Zoom H4.
I dig it so far,
I am stumped at how to access a track that I have successfully bounced.
I have read the manual and followed the directions over and over and over again, getting the same result of a ghost track that is visible if you want to delete a track.
You can pull the bounced track into a whole other project, but when you do that, it disappears into Never Never land.
It's probably something simple I am missing somewhere, but if anyone can help, I'd much appreciate it!

Thanks again!

I'm not sure that I understand completely what you're asking, but this is what I found in the H4 manual. (I downloaded it)

Quote:
To check the bounce result using the H4 or to add more tracks, assign the bounced file to one or two tracks (p. 42). If a stereo file was produced, stereo link for tracks 1/2 or 3/4 must be enabled to allow assigning the file to the stereo track (p53).

What I always do before bouncing, is save the tracks to the computer. That way I have a backup and I can always go back to a certain point in the recording.
