Need advice for a portable home and music recorder

Hi there,

I'm looking for a small, good quality recorder that can be used in a variety of environments, from voice at home and lecture to a music concert.

I don't want to spend too much on a first device, maybe $150-200. I obviously don't need professional quality, but I would love to find a solid one that doesn't distort multiple-voice or bass sounds.

Thanks.

Hi b3, the Zoom H2 might be what you're looking for. It's not too high end and stays just within your price range:

Thanks Nightcap...it looks a bit bulky but it sounds like it's really good quality...and Amazon has it for $170.
