Cubase SX - no mixing desk, 'pending connections'...

Hi,

I recorded a few tracks with my band in college using Cubase SX2 and a Mackie d8b desk. I took them home to mix on my laptop, which has SX3, and I can't get any playback because a box saying 'pending connections' comes up - although the audio files are there, because I'm not using a desk and don't have any inputs, it won't playback :S It also says I don't have any stereo output - I'm basically outputting from my headphone output to a PA. Argggh! I've checked out a few forums and the manuel etc. but have no clue. Please help!

Have you gone into the audio option or preferences section in Cubase to tell it to use the headphone output?

That is the general cause of no sound or that particular warning. No output drivers are selected in the audio preferences of Cubase.

I haven't no. Er...but I can't find anything with the option to select the headphone output. Definitely not under preferences or the audio option. Is it there in SX 3?

Nevermind, sorted it :) It wasn't recognising any asio drivers for some reason (which was why I couldn't select headphone output) but I've downloaded Asio4All and it's working now. Thanks for your help :)
