Steinberg MI4 not working with cubase SL 2?

When I first got the cubase SL 2, the steinberg MI4 was working with Cubase. I'm not sure what the settings were but I was able to record on cubase. Later I got a Toneport UX2 and i wanted to record with that. All i remember doing is switching the ASIO Drive under VST multitrack to the Toneport UX2 drive and so i was able to record on that interface. I've been using it for a couple of months now. But now that i want to switch back using the Steinberg MI4, Cubase doesn't record with it. I switched to the Steinberg MI4 drive but it doesn't work. The input levels on the MI4 react when i play something on the guitar but theres nothing on the input levels in cubase. Cubase doesn't even record properly when i'm using the steinberg drrive. I remember before, everytime i hooked up the MI4 to the computer, the MI4 icon, where all the connections and phatom power were, would pop up. But now that icon doesn't even show up anymore. What's wrong? How do i get it to work? Please reply. thank you.

It sounds like you might need to re- install the drivers and software package for it.
