I have a couple songs I would really like to finish. My prob is that my vocals suck, does anyone out there care to lend me a hand and do a vocal track, maybe even some guitar soloing on one...

Feb 26, 2003 06:49 am Shoot me a copy, raw tracks. snail mail, and let me know your thoughts on vision. Male female, attitude etc. I have a small bank to choose from and maybe can latch on to a vocalist.
Feb 26, 2003 07:21 am Well, it's pretty male, rock/hard rock sorta thing...remember, I was raised in the 70's and 80's, hard rock and hair bands ;-)
Oh, and I have lyrics and arrangement, just no vocal talent :-(

Feb 26, 2003 09:53 am Hmmm. I like to think that I sing at minimum decent vocals, but the style of singing I'm most comfortable with is more of a soulful style (i also rap). I could try to adapt it to rock, but I can't mimick very well that sort of Axl Rose sound or even the Eddie Vedder sound (i have tried for fun).
Oh, the other problem is I don't have my mic yet, but if you can wait about 3-4 weeks, I'd love to give it a try.

Feb 26, 2003 12:55 pm I can do a great Axl Rose vocal and Eddie Vedder is easy!!! or maybe you want a more natural vocal, like Lennon or 'Kirt' on The man who sold the world?
would love do a Guitar solo/riffs for ya too

Feb 26, 2003 05:14 pm Yeah, well for some reason, I just can't find that Eddie Vedder/Hootie/Creed voice inside me despite how hard I try. I can do a pretty good Paul Robeson however. swing low...
Feb 26, 2003 05:19 pm Who's that? Paul Reubens? LOL
I am looking for a slightly Alice in Chains/Stone Temple Pilots sort of thing...but Eddie Vetter might do. The guy drives me nuts, but his vox are decent.

Feb 26, 2003 05:36 pm Paul Robeson, he of the old negro spiritual. Maybe most famous for singing Old Man River from the 1920's musical RiverBoat (I think). Big deep voice. Goes lower than almost anyone I've ever heard (except this one guy in Chanticleer, but I'll be very surprised if any of you know of Chanticleer).
Feb 26, 2003 06:20 pm Paul Reubens is a has been star best known for being caught...uhhhh, spankin the monkey in a theatre...I was hoping you didn't impersonate him ;-)
