High hat is a bit too harsh for me... might be a couple syncopation issues in the beginning... other than that... sounds about right.

I'll try and give it a listen a bit later or tomorrow.

oi...the hihat was obnoxious, the chunky guitar was OK but the noise over the top was...I dunno...just not pleasant, even for the genre.

That said, this isn't my style at all, but it had it's good points and bad points. Tone down the hihat and clean up the "leads" or whatever that top noise is called.

How many different sub genre's of metal that ends with "core" are there anyway and what's the difference between 'em?

Yep, the guitars sounded fine. You got that nailed. But the drums sound very un-natural to me. There needs to be some variation in the kick burst's. By that I mean vary the velocity and timing of the hits. This will give it a more natural feel. You can tell it was obviously sequanced in the high speed parts. It doesn't sound nearly as un-natural in the slower parts. The toms in certain area's suffer from the same fate.

The distorted vocal bits in some area's get completely lost in the sonic onslaught of the guitar's and stuff.

But otherwise you have a good start on this for sure.

yea its tuff to get everything right. ive been doing this for a few years now, and i have some ideas that may help the production quality of my tracks. i dont have much to work with, but im trying to get better at it. thanks for the feedback.

"deathcore" is a sub-genre od death metal. its a fusion of punk, deathmetal, and emo/screamo. there is deathcore, grindcore, noisecore, deathgrind, cybergrind (drum programming), brutal deathgrind/core/metal. its a crazy long list.

Seems to be alot of extra noise going on, like maybe your pre's are too hot. When recording a couple channels this is not soooooo bad, but when stacking track upon track the combined noise can get nasty.
