uploading tracks from Br1200cd to sony acid? HELP

I have a Boss BR1200CD Recording unit, and i have the very inexpensive sony acid music studio 7 (a whopping $69.00 software) on my computer. I made some tracks and were going to transfer them to my computer via usb. The boss exports in wav or aiff formats which the sony acid program says that it supports both. When I drag the file and drop it into acid, it says that it is not a supported file or format. The Sony user manual says when you drag and drop into acid, that it will automatically create a track. None of this happens. I contacted Boss/ROland and they say that it exports as wav data which is different, and to burn it to a cd and upload it, but that doesnt work either.. Any help would be of great thanks..

Well I am guessing the track you are dragging from the BR is the Roland format on its internal drive. You may need to export the track from the BR directory to the computer in wav format so the PC will then see it.

But yes, Acid will do what it says once the file is in wav format.

You may have to downsample. Could it be that your BR1200 is recording at 48 and your software can only handle up to 44.1?? Check the max sample rate of your program.

Good call BH, I didn't think of that. That is another possibility for sure.
