May 20, 2008 10:27 pm Hey there, welcome to HRC.
It sounds like the drivers and the panel didn't install fully or properly. Or may have gotten corrupted by another software install or windows update.
My first suggestion is to hit up the M-Audio site and download the latest driver/panel installation update and get that installed.
But the way you have it connected should be correct for using the s/pdif from the DJ mixer.
You can if all else fails simply use the analog outputs and go to the analog inputs on the 1010. I use a pair of DJ mixers on occasion with vinyl and I normally use the analog outputs and it woks just fine.
May 21, 2008 04:08 pm so i called m-audio and the guy tells me flat out that since i have windows xp with media center edition im going to have a hard time finding sound cards and interfaces that work with it.... another plus for microsoft making a media center computer that doesnt work out well when expanding its " media centering " capabilities, lol. so now my guy at guitar center has to call every one in the companies that he knows and ask them if it will work with media center and find me a new card.... arrggh lolol

May 21, 2008 04:16 pm Can you use analog inputs?
I guess does the 1010lt work normally otherwise? Is just the spdif input bonked?
I'd wonder if it would still work, just without the spdif.

May 21, 2008 09:18 pm OH ya, Media Center edition is bunk for recording. Oddly there is little or no driver support for it at all. Well maybe it isn't really all that odd since it didn't get much attention on the market so Microslop simply stopped supporting it.
