Panning Question w/ Sonar 6 PE

Hello, I am very new to recording and I have only recorded a few songs so far but I have noticed that when i pan anything hard right it becomes completely silent. I also found another issue which i believe is probably related to the first yesterday. I plugged my laptop in to a pair of cheap computer speakers and when the left speaker is unplugged all of my tracks playback dry when the left speaker is reconnected the plugins are there. I am very confused by this so I would appreciate any help anyone could offer.

From the HRC FAQ page:
Why does everything only come out of one side of my stereo (typically the left).

Answer: Because you are using mono cables with stereo jacks, or stereo cables with mono jacks. Stereo jacks, often called "TRS" (tip, ring, sleeve) have three separate contact point to carry both sides of the stereo signal and the ground in one cable, if you stick a typical two contact cable (tip, sleeve) in there it will only carry one side.
Either that or in Sonar you're recording or playback is set to the left input of your audio interface. You can change this in the mixer view by selecting the output device on the main as-> "(your device here) stereo"

There's other things it could be, but they elude me at the moment.... Think you could fill out your profile so we know what you're working with? :)

Thanks a lot for the help...and I just filled out my profile so you know what I'm dealing with. I am still slightly confused because my interface connects through usb and the only cable that could possibly have anything to do with my problem would be the cable to my headphones which I believe would be TRS. I also just checked my output settings and it is set to stereo. So I guess I'll just keep troubleshooting until I figure it out. Thanks again for your help.
