I bought this thinking it was a multi-track recorder, but it looks like its not.. The instructions are terrible.. Can figure out what it is suppose to do.. read the box 4 times..

The closest i can come with is it will do effects , like a stomp box if you want to play through your computer.

I think i made a mistake, and may have to sell it, but before i do maybe somebody can explain it.

All i wanted was a multi-track recorder that i can over dub on.

It's a amp/speaker modeler and audio interface to the computer. It can only do a couple tracks at a time.

It comes with some free recording software (Ableton Live). But you can download Audacity for free and use it. I liked the Audacity better as it was more user friendly (IMO) and I never ran out of tracks.

I use the TonePort UX2 and have recorded full songs with it. You can record up to 2 tracks at a time. You can record a rythmn track then go back and record a lead track on it. You can keep layering like this as many times as your software will allow.

I love mine, and it sounds like it will do what you need to do. All the songs I have posted on my profile were recorded using the UX2.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

With the UX2, your overdubing, and multitracking would be performed on a PC, not on the UX2 itself.

UX2 is a two track recording interface with the ability to use modeling software on capture, it is not a standalone recording device and must be hooked to a PC. Also, if you were thinking to capture a whole band live then you probably picked up the wrong product. But for someone using digital drums who then layers bass\guitars\vox it's a good deal. It also is a perfect for the singer\songwriter as far as acoustics go.

Tell us what you are trying to do and maybe we can help.
