Starting to look at Focusrite with Saffire software for home editing.
I'm looking to do narration, cartoon voice-overs, soft-sell/hard-sell...etc...
So does anyone have any idea if this software is good for this line of work?
Also... how does this software rate as user-friendly when compared to programs like cubase, Sonar, Pro-tools, Ableton...etc.. ?

Mar 19, 2008 03:09 pm I think Saffire is the model name for one of Focusrite's hardware interfaces. I'm not aware of any editing software named Saffire.
The Focusrite Saffire comes with Cubase LE for editing/mixing.

I think that's just gravy. It probably has some cool features but the main thing to look at are the features of the hardware itself. Focusrite is a very dependable and trustworthy brand as far as I know. They tend to specialize in mid and high end pro-sumer gear, and everybody I've read about that uses Focusrite gear seems to like them.
