Dude, inbetween the other stuff, yes. I will work on it a bit. But dB and I need to finish the flick first, and I do have one other hot project to finish. But, yes I will give ya some time and effort. Just be a bit patient.

Interesting story about the samples... they were a complete accident.

We were all set up to record one cold January night, and we realized we had no tape for the 4-track. We asked my mom if she had any old tapes that we could record over. I guess we pressed record on some of the tracks before the others, because that's what was left over in mixdown. We thought it was funny, and we left it in.

Hope we don't get sued... although it was an unlabeled tape, and at that speed I have no idea who it was. Although my guess would be Garcia... just because I know my mom... but I can't say for sure.

i couldn't tell what it was. it was just garbled chipmunks until i time-stretched it to 200% in Wavelab (i just had to know).

that's a pretty good sounding recording for a 4-track. tell me, did you mixdown straight out of the 4-track or did you record each track into your computer and mix there?

BTW, your drummer is *awesome*!

Mixed straight from the 4-track into Goldwave (a freeware .wav editor).

Oh, and thank you for the drummer comment. I'll make sure to tell myself you said that. Haha. :-)

::grins:: oops! well, i think i've got something. i've been pondering that muddy thing for awhile and today it just hit me. *multiband compression*. so i went back and boosted those upped freqs and now it's a little more fresh than before. not much... but it's noticable. i also very slightly reverberated the whole thing to make it all bigger than life. i really dig "ska song". i think it should be called "rent-a-cop"

you guys rock. i'll have this in the mail when i wake up (friday). if you're lucky you'll have it saterday. but given our postal service, we'll just say monday ;O) -j

Actually we re-named "Ska Song" to "Authority." I really wanted to call the demo "What's Up, Rent-a-cop?" but the other guys said no. Oh well. I'll be looking for the CD.

The best demo name I heard of was from some freinds of mine named "Scratch", the bass player (who has been to HRC once or twice) wanted to name it "Where the **** are my pants?"

hahahahahaha, tha other wussies wouldn't though...can even imagine the cover of that CD in your mind?

Yep, now that is a visual album cover. Kinda like the scorpions cover for Love at First Sting. They banned it in america, so I had to order a copy right from Germany.

That's funny... it's really funny because one night a long time ago my band, and our enterage (did I spell that right?) were all passed out on my living room floor, and mom's boyfriend come's down the stairs at 6am on a Sunday morning... "Anybody seen my pants?"
