I've bought a new computer with P4, 4GB Ram.

I am using Sonar 6 SE,
with MOTU828mkII, connecting to my Yamaha PSRE303 via MIDI cables.

When I start recording a midi data in Sonar,
it always jam!!
that means, normally if I set using metronome on my MIDI device, my keyboard with give me click evenly corresponding to my adjusted tempo. However, this time the metronome is uneven! The first few beats are ok and then it jams. If I try to play some notes on my keyboard, it jams immediately and some of my notes cannot be recorded. What's up? As it works fine in my previous computer, it should not be the problem of my device like 828 or Keyboard, but should be the problem of some parameters in Sonar, right?

I am using 96kHz, 24bits resolution (same as my previous computer).

Please help in urgent~~ I am really annoying....

Hey all,
I test it in this night.
And this must not be a problem of SONAR.
As I try to play a MIDI file in Windows media player, and choose my 828mkII as the output source. The problem exist! My midi keyboard sounds weird with uneven speed!!!

Please help~~~ thanks...

They keyboard is not able to look or sync to the time stamp of the file. I am guessing you are using the audio output for timing of the files.

I would suggest setting it up to send midi time code to the keyboard to keep it locked on time with the file. This will help it stay locked to everything else.

You should be able to send midi sync viz the MOTU unit right into the keyboard via the midi cable and that will keep it locked up nicely.
