Ya, they are pretty nice. Mind you they are not a Roland trigger by any means, but they are plenty good. ON a new price I feel they are a little high but the used kits seem to be priced pretty fair.

The brain or sound module is good as well with some pretty decent sounds.

The trigger pads react nicely and have a very good feel to them.

I played on one in a shop on the weekend. Was really impressed actaully. Last time I played on an entry level electric kit about 18 months ago it was more expensive than this and no where near as good! Apparently the pads are all upgradable too which is nice.
I'm not quite sure how you'd connect the lineouts to the UX2 yet whether you'd jack to XLR them into the mic ports or whether you'd stick them into the guitar jacks (that would be odd though) but if its easily connectable I think it would make a great kit for home recording, especially if, like me, you have a buget and if like me you have to pay in £ not $

On the UX-2 you have a pair of line inputs so you don't need to use either the XLR or the guitar inputs. It works out nicely.

i have one and i would highly reccomend saving up a couple hundred more and get a roland. the sounds on the brain are alright but compared to a roland they are crap. i use mine with battery 3 which has amazing sounds that are way better than any roland but the rack sucks and it triggers off wrong signals and sometimes a trigger wont work good for like a day. i mean, for the price it ain't that bad but i'd reccomend saving up for a better one, i wish i did
