Im new to this forum. I frequent other recording and music forums under the same name. Im a relative newbee to recording and Im basically a one man band. I play all my own instruments and I play some better than others. I try. I posted a song on the song page, but it doesnt play for some reason. Must be a time period before its active. Its a cover of Second Coming/Dwight Frye by Alice Cooper. Im a big Cooper fan and do a few of his covers. I have a soundclick page with all my crap on it, link below. My singing is pretty lacking but I try. Anyway I hope to get to know everyone and maybe help in some way or another.

You've got some damn fine recording skills sir; don't be a stranger, this is a very friendly community, and keep up the good tunes.

Welcome BushmasterM4: I was just trying to listen to the song you posted, and for some reason the player would pop up, but wouldn't play anything . Works the other songs, so I know it's not the player .

???

Welcome to HRC Bushmaster. I'll be checking out the Cooper tune you have in the other thread as well as some of the others.

Had a quick listen to the Sex Pistol's cover. Pretty good really. Nice cover of it. Just a bit different to be original. I liked it, as it was true to the Pistols sound.

Thanks. I spend more time with each one and as a result they seem to get better. Some of the early stuff Ive done is pretty bad. Im working on one now which, I cant get the vocals right. Im gonna try again tomorrow. The vocals on the original had a few effects on them and I cant find the right combination. I may give up and leave it as is.

That Dwight Frye....what a song to cover! You did a great job on that, the whole 9 yards. I wouldn't even have the cojones to attempt something that involved, although it is inspiring...maybe I should try it. Not that song, just something that involved.

Good guitar work and keys too...solid drumming.

Also listened to cinnamon girl and If I Die as well as Caught In A Dream....all good covers and unique songs to pull out of the hat!

Nice job!

Finally had a chance to listen to some of em. I do like the Second Coming version you did. While as you stated the vox are not perfect, who cares they get the point across well and are really pretty dang good. The mix is nicely done for sure and you stayed pretty true to the form of the song. That is probably one of my favorite Cooper tunes that we used to do live. The others I listened to were done nicely as well. When I have more time I will be listening to more of them.

Thanks, I really appreciate the replies. I try to record and mix what sounds the best to my ears. There are times I listen to the other peoples tunes and I think man, my recordings and mixes stink. But Im just a noobie.
