i found these....basically you get some mics, plug them into the recorder, load a tape in and hit record. oversimplification but that's the jist of it.

I am new at the whole home production thing and for my first board i got a Tascam 424, and i have a band with vocals, lead, rhythmic, bass, i really need some help finding instructions on how to record off of it, any help will be extremely useful information, websites, anything.
keep in mind i'm new at this so cut me some slack.
