File Management (moving, delete) in SONAR 2.1

I know that a lot of you use SONAR so I will ask this question here. I installed a new hard drive a little while ago and I wanted to move my audio stuff there. Also, I when I was just starting out with SONAR, each time I made a major change to something I was working on, I saved it as another version. That was really useful, but now I have ten versions of several songs. My question is, how do I delete, and move songs IN SONAR? I don't really know how to do this. Also, as a cwb, its all together, but the cwp's are a bunch of information and I don't know which one's go with which. Is there a way inside that I can do all this? I appreciate the help, thanks.

Under the tools menu there is a dialog box called "clean up disk," or something like that, that lets you do what you want. It goes through your Cakewalk audio data folder and deletes everything not used in an existing SONAR project. It's a great feature that makes it easy to work with your files. If you want to delete a whole project, just delete the actual .cwp and then run the disk clean up in SONAR. That way you get rid of everything you don't need. I would recommend that you move everything in your audio data folder to the new audio data folder on the new hard drive, and do the same with the project data folder. Then you can go from there and use the disk clean up utility to get rid of the stuff you don't need. I would definately not recommend trying to pick out the .wav files that you are not using without this utility. That could create quite a mess. I think that answers your question.

As long as you saved them as .cwb file's, everything should be right with the original file. When you delete the file, make sure and do it from the open menu dialog in Sonar. this will ensure that the file is deleted in it's entirety. And as Mr. muffins stated there is a drop down menu from the tool menu called clean audio disk. using this after you delete the unwanted file's will delete all the unused audio file's, even the .cwp file's. If you get the new 2.2 update they have set up file storage and handling much better then it's ever been.
