i CAN'T record !

I can't record anything, Im new to this forum so i dunno if i post this thread in the rite place. But if anyone knows why i suffer this plz gimme da solution.
I use Cool Edit Pro 2.1
I can use it in any pcs n laptops in my house except only 1, but i don't know why it comes like this. When I start recording, the instrumental i put in is come to the loudest volume and i cant hear my voice !!!
Well, i could use it at first but after tryin addin some effects, i dunno if i press the wrong button!
Anyone plz help me !
I tried uninstallin it then installed again but it still doesnt work, i dunno if anythin wrong with tha volume control

Sep 01, 2007 02:45 am You should be listening to the instrumental through headphones only as a guide, while you record your voice alone.
Also in Cool Edit, go to "Options" and "Device Order" and make sure you have the proper playback and recording devices selected.
Sep 01, 2007 04:52 am yeah man, your post is a bit veigue, what i am getting out of it is you can record your vocal track but when you add an effect you loose the audio....is this right?
if so, i have no good advice because that's just plain wrong.

Are you saying you can't hear your voice while you are recording or after it is recorded?
