I have a Behringer FBQ but I wouldn't recommend it for gigging. IMO, it is not built to take the rigors of the road. You can expect buttons and **** to fall off etc.

The DBX ones that zek mentions would probably be better although I haven't used either of them before.

keep in mind. a feedback destroyer IS an eq....so versatility-wise, i'd go with the eq....you can ring out a room with it before you start to play and you won't have to worry about feed back all that much.

just playin' devils advocate.

i've used the berry fbd and i was quite impressed with it's response.

Ya, I should probably clarify. The FBQ works as described. The one I have has lights in the sliders that illuminate on the frequencies that are feeding back. As an EQ their quality is fine. The only reason I would not use it for gigging is that even in my home studio where nothing gets abused, I still have had the small LED knobs fall off.

I've used Peavey feedback ferrets and have moved to the Behringer FBQ system of EQ's.

As far as doing corporate events PAing... the ferrets are great. But shows where you need to control the mics EQ's.. .the Behringer EQ is great.

My problem with the ferrets are that they take too much out of the sound.

Just my thoughts.

On the knobs falling off, so far they've lived in a SKB plastic carry rack and everythings fine.
