You can also do a mixdown in cubase and open the stereo wav file you create and then put a maximizer on it to make sure the level of the mix down wav file is at or slightly above -3dB, or between -3 and 0dB.
It is something common with the light versions of apps like Cubase and Sonar and the like. You need to make sure that you are out putting at a good level for the mixed down file.
