Very cool tune, I very much enjoyed it, very big bass in the soft parts...maybe to big, but it blended in nicely in the harder parts.

Welcome to the gang ozzy11 :-)

Excellant, the structure was very good. I am kinda partial to the soft to hard to soft and back again structure you used. I will agree with db on the bass comment, maybe a bit too big during the quite part's but it does blend in nicely after a moment or two. I also like the guitar lead's and the sound of the acoustic. I could not get the hi-fi version to play though, so I listened to the lo-fi instead. I will try the hi-fi version later. But like I said, very good tune, nice choice of instrument's and all.

I did notice the vocal's get burried just a bit during the heavy part's, but that may be do to the lo-fi mix. So I will listen again when the hi-fi link work's. Again as dB stated, look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks Noize,
I have to disagree with you about the acoustic
guitar though,I have never been happy with that track.I used a buddies takamine and i just always thought it was WAY to tinny sounding. The other guitar is my Les Paul, played through a Mesa Boogie
combo. There are some other songs from those sessions, but IMHO each one has somethin really messed up with the mixes.Like i said before it was all learning back then.Maybe I`ll post onother song from those sessions.......maybe.
thanks man

I guess I have thing for a bit of the tiny sound on an acoustic.

I have to agree that I like the acoustic sound. I don't think it is necessarily "tinny," but just thin, and in this mix, a thin sound works well in opposition to the bass. But, I agree, the bass kinda drowns things out sometimes. Especially in the beginning. The guitar part reminds me of something very 70's. Even the distortion used sounds 70's. Not a bad thing by the way, just the feel I get from it.
One suggestion that I would make though to help the vocals not get buried so much, because I think that happens during the song. Think of every instrument as having its own frequency band to itself. With that in mind, see where the guitar has its niche, the bass, electric, the different drums and such. Then, find a niche for your vocals, and cut the other instruments back out of that niche. I think you have a pretty deep voice, and it just sounds like several instruments are sharing that same band and that might be why it gets muddy. Just a though, but I would cut some of the lows out of your vox. Hope that helps.

Geez Tony, April Wine? Are you sure, I gotta go listen again.

By the way Tony, do you have a way to play back GM file's on your PC? I have a kickin version of April Wine's tune Roller I did fo an on-hold gig.

Wow. Sounds real nice. I really like the way everything blended real nicely during the heavy parts. I especially liked the kind of layered vocal sound you got when everything came in together. I agree the acoustic sounded a bit tinny, but it just needs a bit of EQ, I think. The keys sounded a little loud during some of the soft parts at some points, but there isn't much to complain about! I really liked the song. Good stuff!
