Hello all,
Wanted to ask if its a good idea to get one of these. I am getting it for 250$, which seems like a good price. I need it for some home recording and then maybe some live shows. Seems like it has most of what is needed. Does anyone have any experience with these? It is worth the money and is the sound good? What I am looking for is something that dosen't have to sound like U2, but it shouldn't sound like crap..
Lemme know.. I'm new to recording and your help is very much appreciated..

Jul 09, 2007 10:34 pm what recording apps are you already familiar with?
how many separate tracks do you need to be able to record at once? the 001 only has two mic pre's so if you plan on using more mics that two at a time, then you're gonna need a mixer or another interface.

Jul 09, 2007 11:15 pm Though not a fan of Digi anyway, the 001 is legacy equipment. Being that it only has two preamps out of the 8 channels you might as well decide how many channels you need. At $250 you can almost get a NEW Edirol FA66 which has 2 preamps w/ limiters, and 4 analog IO... plus Vista, OSX, and Linux support... and is a stackable firewire device... so you can just keep plugging more in.
