I'm a big fan of Ian Tyson! I'd love to see him live. Neil Young's cover of Tyson's "Four Strong Winds" is one of my all-time favorites! I have a couple of old Ian & Sylvia albums that I love!

Yeah...April Wine...I didn't know they were Canadian, eh. So what were their more popular songs...I'm drawing a blank.

WYD - ya, it's Boxing Day and it is the day after Christmas. Around here it is just another cash cow for the mega stores.

Jim - Ian Tyson was singing Four Strong Winds in that picture.
April Wine's big ones were;
Oowatanite (the vid above)
Roller
I Like to Rock
Sign of the Gypsy Queen
Weeping Widow
...they did a bunch of ballads as well
You Won't Dance With Me
Just Between You and Me

...at least those were the songs that did well around here.

Haha, check out Slow Poke if you get a chance :)

One you forgot BH is their cover of King Crimsons 21st Century Schizoid Man. That was one of my favorite covers of all time when they did it. No one else ever covered it like they did.

Ah yes, killer tune! My favorite album of theirs is "Stand Back". Great tunes and great production.

Other killer songs by April Wine;
- Drop Your Guns
- Rock and Roll is a Vicious Game
- You Could Have Been a Lady
- Tonight is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love
- Bad Sign of the Moon
- Say Hello
- Enough is Enough
- Victim of Your Love

They really have a lot of great songs. I realise that many of you probably haven't really even heard of them but for me they were a big part of my life growing up. They used to be everyone's favorite make out music when I was a teenager.

That's a cool celebration! I'll bet there must have been a lot of pot smoking going on.

Ya, there was a certain aroma in the air that night. Must have been why a crowd of 60,000 people were so well behaved.
