Jun 27, 2007 10:15 pm I'll give them a listen tomorrow.
And hey, welcome to HRC by the way.
Jun 28, 2007 05:56 am Heya! Listening to book.
Nice drum reverbs. I would program the hihats in a steadier rhythm to bring the track together a bit more. Also might slide some of the beats sliiiightly off the beat to give it a more natural feel, oh , and maybe try some slightly different samples sometimes if you have them. Maybe some more compression on the vocals to even em' out as well.
I'm not a big fan of any D.I. acoustic sound so I (but its a personal preference) would mix a bit of your 57 on the 12th fret or lower in with the guitar. Bit late now, but maybe try it out next time.
Nice wee song, and a nice mix.
I will give it a.....
7!
Let us know when you have some more!

Jun 29, 2007 08:09 pm thanks a lot for the feedback and the welcome. was my first try at working with my new equipment...well, drum machine is not new. sliding the drums off the beat more is a possibility, when i get off my butt and play with the machine a bit more. i am going to post slighly revised version for purusal. i don't particularly like the di acoustic either, and i have been trying to get good mike sound in, though it wasn't anywhere in this version cause, well, i've had problems getting it to pick up and had already spent 6 hours dicking with the equipment that day. but, i am going to try it next time.was having issues with mike position, so thank you very much for your suggestion C_S. hopefully i will get time to record another of my songs this weekend. thanks again for all your help, and the promise of a listen in the future.
peace,
jen
