WALT make that sucker downloadable will ya. That is cool as hell. I love interesting and different and this fits the bill. Is that you singing the male part, (or both)? Kidding on the both part, although I think most of us could hit those notes at one time in our lives.

That has got to be the moodiest thing I have ever heard you do. Wonderful and enchanting I must say. I like the ragged off the cuff style and sound. But her voice is like a candle in a dark room. It differs from the rest of the piece and stands out in an interesting way. I'll assume that was your genius at work there mixing away.

Their a couple of kids that I am trying to help out as much as I can. Aaron (male) and little sister Heidi. Aaron does the composition, writing, guitar. Heidi has just got this increadible natural voice. I am dissipointed with my recording of the guitar (we chatted a little about that on another thread although I'm sure I wasn't clear with the orgin of my question). I did the mixing, but those two are just inspiring to me. The thoughts expressed by the lyrics don't necessarly connect with me, but I can't escape the musical statements. I'll send you a copy. Hold on a sec...... Ok, on it's way! I hope you don't mind but I am going to take the liberty to send Aaron your comments. As you might guess, he is moody...how else could he... Anyway, he needs a little support now and then.

Thanks!

By all means send em. (the comments that is) There was just something in the song that triggered a smile on my little face. I think I just kind of liked the simiple approach as I stated above. It is nothing fancy and it might just be the rawness of it that did it.

This is nice. Sounds kinda raw, but organic.

I like it too. Sunds very contemporary-folkish. I'm only listening on laptop speakers right now, so I can't comment on the tonal quality, but the guitar sure sounds good at this fidelity. I'd love to listen to a lot more of this stuff.

Moody indeed!

very cool tune.

The chicks voice is awsome.

The guitar sounds a bit bassy but that might my config.

Some organ or strings would go down a treat.

Very cool stuff

I'm trying to talk them into doing at least an EP. They have a good deal of material that is of the same vain. My perception is that they are comtemporary or 'smart' lyrics, although I am not 20 and I can't say that from a standpoint of connecting. I say that more from extrapolating from the lifestyles. One thing I would buy Aaron if I had the money would be a good guitar. His as a few 'hot spots' that resonate and are just plain annoying in the recording process.

If I can get them to put together an ep I will definately share as we go here at HRC. It would be an obvious win win scenerio for them and folks here.

Very cool! You have a very expressive voice. I really dug it!

I visually hear this song being used in a fall scene. The leaves are falling a guy has a 6'oclock shadow on his face as he grabs tight his coat against the chilly october wind as he think about life etc... corny huh? Its just what hit me listening to it.

I would keep this track raw and stripped down. Sometimes less is more.

Rob, I could not agree more. I like it just as is, raw and pure. And the fall scene, perfect fit indeed.
