Nobody said anything yet so I figured I would...
Big Shock that Jordin beat Blake...Blake is a totally mediocre singer at best...and as much as I hate beatboxing, I think he was pretty darn good at it...
Jordin is a great singer and has a totally sellable face, I hope the music industry doesn't slut her up like they have many of the others idol girls that put CD's out...

May 24, 2007 02:46 pm I actually liked Blake more from a musicians pov. The stuff he did on the tunes he sang on throughout the competition was really musical and creative. I dont think he is any better or worse than say the guy from Maroon5 or the dude from Incubus or a ton of other singers out there. I really like Keane and Blake would do well in that genre and style with a little beat boxing thrown in to spice it up :))
It was nice to see Gladys Night come out and lay it down. She hasnt lost all that much! I really liked Phil the best of the guys and Melinda of the women.

May 24, 2007 02:52 pm I didn't watch any of it this year. Just too tired of the whole idea. So... I jumped over to the AI site to see what is up and such. Anyways, I came across this item in their store and the first thing that came to mind is "what does a guitar have to do with American Idol?". Am I missing something? I mean ya, they have had guitarist and such on the show but....
Maybe its just me.
May 24, 2007 06:17 pm How could no one mention how Joe Perry destroyed himself. Playing guitar for Sanjaya is no way for a real music icon to upgrade his legacy.
I'm kind of interested in their "Next Great American Band" show.

Yeah, he did do some cool stuff, but like Randy told him a few times, doing it on every friggin song gets old as hell, toward the end he finally started realizing when it worked and when it didn't. I liked his Bon Jovi tune, that was cool...
