Hi guys. I'm Glenn and I just signed up yesterday. I've been reading the topics kinda' gettin' the lay of the land, so to speak. There's a lot of very knowledgeable people here and that's what I am in need of. I'll try to ask well thought out questions and not bug you to death.

I've been playing music and tearing up and rebuilding guitars, recorders, amps, cabs, etc. for over 40 years. I was a USAF electrician in the Vietnam days and an industrial electrical designer since 1974, so I know some things, but not a whole lot about PC recording. But, I'm sure to learn here.

BTW, the GTG Synths web site is non functional now. It looks good, but nothing works. All the links are dead. Just FYI. I did report it.

Welcome Aboard!

Always handy to have an experienced electrician around.

I just went to the GTG site and though I have never been there before, it seems to be working. Maybe they were in the process of upgrading their site or something...

Every link I clicked either brought up a page saying they had shutdown as of 3/1/07 or the link just did nothing. Odd isn't it?

I have to go try it again....

LOL !!

Yeah, none of the links work except the far right one and it brings up the closed notice.

It's...

miksybrandt.panicnow.net/

If you go to our links drop down and click Software and then click Virtual Instruments, it is the very top one.

Man! The more I browse this site the more I find. A LOT of good resources here. I'm gonna' have to set up housekeeping and stay awhile to soak it all in.

Yeah, I just thought you might want to update the link, I didn't go to the new site. Guess I should have provided that info as well.

(Brain cells dying of old age, hehehe)

Yep, that is an old one. That was one of the first links I put in the synth catagories, or close to it anyway. He had some killer stuff there. I still ahve all his synths here.

For some really killer synth bass try the GTG Unit 1. I have used that for awhile and love it.

And welcome to HRC Glenn. That handle glnflwrs sound very familier. Have we crossed pathes on one of the synth sites out there before? I have used this same name for long time on the web.

Did you just find GTG here or have you been there before? He build some pretty hybrid stuff that can suck the life out of a CPU but sounds killer.

Thanks Noize2u,
I have never been to any synth or music sites before about three weeks ago. I found the GTG site by following the link on this site. I was checking out the software synths there.

I am a mod at flightlevel350.com, the world's largest aviation video collection. Ever been there? I have also proofread several websites including frets.com and gryphonstrings.com among others.

My handle is just my name with no vowels, Glenn Flowers.

Its possible it may have been one of those sites. And I figured that was your name, thats why I asked as it is very familiar. Not a common name so it kind of jumped out. I'll figure it out 6 months from now.

But glad your enjoying HRC.
