What exactly do you want to do with the gear, record or podcast or what?

Ya that gear should do it. I will have a look at our affiliate zZounds and see if they have the same podcasting kit at a better price tomorrow and post a link to them. buying through our affiliate zZounds is what helps keep HRC running.

But yes, a trigger kit is a good investment. I program drums 3 ways, with my keyboard controller as well as a large trigger kit and also step writing the notes in the DAW software.

Edited to link to zZounds :-)

Program for what? I'd just run the analog outs into the tracker and record it. failing that you can hook up to your PC via MIDI and use those controller with any software drum machine, I like NI Battery myself.

Yep, thats a nice kit to start with for sure. And as dB stated you can hook up the midi to go along with that and play the sounds from the DM5 brain unit. I still own a DM5 and love it, also have a TD6 from Roland as well.

But Battery gets my vote as well for a software drum module it can't be beat.
