How do I set up a home studio?

Ok, so I own the following pieces of kit:

Laptop with Adobe Audition and Fruity Loops
F Control Audio FCA202 Firewire Interface
Behringer Xenyx 1002FX Mixer
Roland MC303
SM58 Mic
Fender Telecaster
Zoom 505 II Guiter Effects Unit
Headphones

I now need to know how to set them up for easy home recording, I’m really unsure of how to do this, so any help would be much appreciated (illustrations would be fantastic)!!! Also, do you think I need anything else, such as a drum machine or just any random thing I may have overlooked?

I’m planning on recording from home using vocals, guitar, bass and then adding drum loops, samples etc that I will produce using the MC303 and fruity loops.

Thanks so much in advance!!

Well, I'll start at the mixer...the mixer outs go into your FCA202 Ins, and FCA202 is then hooked to you laptop. Headphones go in the mixer to the FCA202 if it can...not sure if the 202 has a headphone jack on it.

Everything else just runs into the mixer channels. The guitar effects unit could run as an aux loop on the mixer if some of those effects would be useful in vocal processing and such as well, such as a compressor or something on it.
