When they first started coming out, Terratec really had some compatibility issues. Tho the price makes them very attractive, I have heard to much downside to consider buying one. Usually you get what you pay for.

That said, most of the downside I heard was quite a while ago, and very well may have been cleared up since. I hope for your sake that is the case.

FYI, it's generally good to ask peoples opinion and do research before you buy the product ;-)

Yeah you're right db but i have seen this card working to a friend of mine and i liked it very much. I am interested in ASIO very much and this card is amazing in ASIO.

The reason i'm asking a second opinion is for extended info.

Thanx anyway

Cool, glad to hear somebody is using it well. If they can make a good card for the prices they sell them for that would be great for all of us home studio owners.

Let us know how it works out for ya!

As dB said, the only issue's I have heard on the downside of that card are the support and software compatability issue's. Sonicly it has a good sound. Just be carefull of the upgrade issue's. If you upgrade your software, you may get left behind by a company that will not supprt their product when the time come's for driver's that support a new OS or DAW.

OK finally everything is ok and smooth!

The ASIO behaviour on Cubase SX is absolutely perfect. The Signal to Noise ratio is very good.

I think it's ok, dunno why you guys think it's not...

Everything from installation to work went smooth.

Anyway thanx again for your opinions!

I didn't say I thought it wasn't, I said I have heard and read stories from a lot of people that had trouble with it. Remember there are thousands and thousands of different computer component combinations our there and a few dozen software titles to use, just because it worked with your setup does not mean it will work with everyones. There are problems with every piece of hardware and software out there. It's just a matter of whether or not your system and usage technique will exploit it.

That said, I am very glad it worked for you, in the time since they released it, as I said above, they probably refined the drivers and got many of the "new release" bugs worked out.

Yeah you're right!

Fortunately, it worked in my combination!!!

Thanx again for your concern!

Also, be aware that sometimes bugs can crop up over time, as you are trying new things, routing things differently and stuff you may bump across little problems.

Just because it installs properly doesn't mean the battle has been won.

Not saying that to try to rain on your parade or anything, just a warning from a friend :-)

I appreciate it, thanx db.

However i am a "since-1984-PC-freak" and engineer, so any hardware problem that may appear, i think that i can solve it. Now if the problem is a bug... then... i don't want to think about it.

Thanx though...
