I am really happy to have just found this forum today.I also think it is ironic that I have acctually tryed to find a book that might be titled (Cubase for idiots) It gives me hope just knowing Im not alone. I have Cubase SE that came with some VST instruments. The one I am trying to get to work right now is the SE grand piano.
If anyone can help me get this working, it would be great. Thanks much, James T.

Mar 12, 2007 11:08 am Hello James, welcome to HRC.
VST instruments are triggered my MIDI input. You'll need to fill out your profile to let us know what you have in the way of soundcard, outboard gear etc.
In your manual there should be a whole section on MIDI, and VSTi's or softsynths. Their (Steinberg) manuals are very well written, so just follow step by step, and you should get there.
Are you using a keyboard to trigger your MIDI inserts, or will you be using the "Piano roll" to step program?

Mar 19, 2007 09:13 am Hi TallChap, thanks for your reply, since the last time I posted I have all the VSTs working except the Halion, seems to be a problem loading a sample into a program. In the manual it says the Halion SE comes with a default sound bank installed. The manual also says it comes with Wizoo Composer Library, I cant find it.
