Jan 23, 2007 03:57 pm I hope he was kidding about this question in his FAQ.
Q: Are there any legal things that I should know about?
A: If your recording I work on doesn’t end up selling more than 4000 copies, then, no. If you sell 4000+, then simply include me on a standard pay schedule with your record label.
As far as I know, paying a studio musician buys all rights to said tunes yes?

Jan 24, 2007 10:25 pm Tripps, that is absolutely correct. I have and do work as a hired gun and it is in almost every contract, or verbal agreement that you get paid for what you do. You own the rights to nothing in the end. And you possibly get credited, most times with the playing of said instrument or whatever. That is it.
